Returns Policy and Right of Free Resolution

1. Right of Free Resolution

Under Decree-Law No. 24/2014, the consumer generally has a period of 14 days to freely terminate a distance contract, without needing to state a reason.

2. Exceptions Applicable to Food Products

Under applicable law, the right of free resolution does not apply to the following products:

  • Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • Perishable food products;
  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery;
  • Personalized products or products made to the consumer's specifications.

Therefore, returns of cheeses, cured meats, or other perishable products will not be accepted after delivery, except in cases of defect, non-conformity, or order error.

3. Non-Perishable Products

Non-perishable products, such as wine, liqueurs, honey, jams, sweets, and biscuits, may be returned within the applicable legal period, provided that:

  • They are sealed and show no signs of use;
  • They are returned in their original packaging;
  • They are in suitable condition for resale.

Return costs may be borne by the consumer, unless otherwise provided by law.

4. Damaged or Non-Conforming Products

If the customer receives a product damaged during transport, defective, expired, or different from the one ordered, they must report the situation within a maximum of 48 hours after receipt, via customer support email, attaching photographs that allow verification of the occurrence.

After analyzing the complaint, one of the following solutions will be implemented:

  • Product replacement;
  • Reshipment of the order;
  • Full or partial refund of the amount paid.

5. Hampers and Promotional Packs

When products are sold as a hamper, pack, or promotional set, any accepted return must include all products that make up the set, unless the complaint relates only to a specific defective or non-conforming product.
